On Wednesday, July 15, Twitter fell victim to a social engineering cyberattack. The goal: to scam users out of cryptocurrency. Hackers took control of more than 130 accounts (source: Les Echos). They impersonated famous figures and trusted companies, including Barack Obama, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Joe Biden, and Bill Gates.
